Tyntesfield Estate
The original online guide to Tyntesfield
Est 2003
A warm welcome to all our readers, old and new. The Tyntesfield Estate website was established in 2003 as a reaction to the dim-witted way the restoration of Tyntesfield was being handled by the National Trust. Sadly, in 2010 the dim-wittedness carries on in grand style, and our net presence continues.
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce Phil Smith, a former National Trust employee who has taken the brave decision to come forward and finally talk to us about what working for the National Trust really entails.
For those of you who are concerned about Phil’s story, have no fear. An extensive collection of emails and photographic evidence, not to mention several trees worth of paperwork is there to back it up.
Until now the Tyntesfield website has operated mainly through humour and satire. Most of this content is still accessible, and we still ask for you to support the Save Brian Campaign.
